“Streetz Ahead inspires young people to express themselves to build their confidence through the power of dance and performance in a creative, inclusive and supportive environment and also engages a wider range of young audiences through their professional productions using their unique style.”
We are a registered charity providing free or low-cost, weekly dance, theatre and backstage programmes to young people throughout north London, who would otherwise not have access to such opportunities.
We are not only dedicated to inspiring our students through confident channels which promote healthy and active lives but also to empower them to make a positive contribution to society.
Our mission is to:
- Cultivate confidence, self-esteem and self-worth in all our students
- Help them to respect their bodies and establish healthy lifestyles
- Enable them to express themselves and channel energy through creative alternatives
- Support them to achieve goals and maintain a positive attitude through challenges
- Encourage them to take part in activities that promote friendship and a sense of belonging
Expand their perspectives through community service and cultural awareness

“Loved the show the best one I have seen. Loved the story line although I am not a Michael Jackson fan, if I see kid dance to him again I will lose my mind lol. Shame some of the schools have left but I am glad Harris kept Streetz Ahead going. Can’t wait for the DVD so I can see it again! Well done to you and your amazing team. Can’t wait for the next one xxx”

“I just wanted to say a massive thanks to all of you who organised the show. It was fab and my girls loved being part of it!!! Thank you, thank you Emma (Lilly/Amelia, Oakhill Friday)”
Seen quite a few over the years. This one is by far the best, the format worked – better than each school performing. The music was great – not too street but street enough. Well done guys – truly the best one I’ve seen and I’ve been quite a few!
It was an outstanding show. Loved it!

OMG – what an amazing performance, at one point I thought I was in the West End – you have some truly talented youngsters. What a way to celebrate 20 years. Well done. Thank you for giving the Oakwood girls the opportunity to work alongside the Performing Arts group – they felt very honoured.
